A Summary of PRAN's Core Research
PRAN members are posing new questions and approaches grounded in non-Western ways of knowing to develop valuable evidence-based resources to support SSAIs to thrive in Canada.
Collaborating with our partners, PRAN is undertaking three core research activities and multiple partner-driven research initiatives in the greater metropolitan regions of Edmonton, Toronto, Montreal and Halifax.
The Cross-Sectional Survey (2023-2025) captures the experiences and resilience of SSAI newcomers.
The Qualitative Longitudinal Study will track transiting perceptions, viewpoints, and impacts of Sub-Saharan African Immigrant (SSAI’s) settlement and resilience over time.
The Community Institutional Scans will investigate the experiences of organizations supporting SSAI communities, and identify strategies to enhance the capacity of organizations to serve community needs.
