African paradise flycatchers live in most parts of Sub-Saharan Africa. Considered intra-African migrants, they are found in woodlands, grasslands, cultivated gardens, and highly populated areas. Interestingly, unlike many bird species, both male and female Flycatchers are brightly coloured.
